In addition to being a global health crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic has unleashed extensive socio-economic impacts, putting millions of companies worldwide at risk of being forced out of business. The crisis has hit small businesses — classified as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) — and their workers particularly hard. Now, they urgently need support to survive.
Gerakan Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia (Gernas BBI) is a national program, initiated by the Indonesian government in May 2020 that aims to promote SMEs and improve the resilience of their businesses through COVID-19 and beyond.
Gernas BBI, a national selects the theme “Kilau Digital Permata Flobamora” for the event that takes place throughout the month of June 2021. Flobamora is an abbreviation for some of Indonesia’s islands in East Nusa Tenggara, which include Flores, Sumba, Timor, and Alor. Ultimately, this event serves to underscore the need to foster innovation and promote digitalization to accelerate the growth of SMEs, especially those in the East Nusa Tenggara region.
Powered by Silversea Media Group, the immersive virtual expo enables visitors to navigate through different 3D exhibition halls, visit virtual booths, watch interactive webinars, chat in real-time, and explore a wide range of SME products and services. Our virtual event platform allows SMEs to customize and showcase their marketing message to a global audience and bring them close to a real on-ground experience.
We provide custom designs and layouts for branded booths. For example, this particular booth design concept at the Kilau Digital Flobamora virtual event was inspired by the traditional houses on the East Nusa Tenggara islands — resembling the peaked thick thatched roofs made of wood, bamboo, and dry grass.
There are four exhibit halls: two food halls, a fashion hall, and an arts & crafts hall. The uniquely designed booths in each exhibition hall offer attendees a chat option that they can use to connect with the business owners and ask them questions. There is also an e-commerce button that links to the business’ e-commerce site, so attendees can anytime shop the products there.
Indonesia’s Communications and Information Minister Johnny G. Plate, Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B. Panjaitan, and Vice President of Indonesia Ma’ruf Amin are among the prominent guests that participate in the live stream session on June 18th, 2021. Recordings of past webinars are available to watch on the platform for a month. This means that attendees who have missed the live presentation can revisit and watch on their own time.
Entering the virtual event platform feels like entering another space, complete with its own atmosphere and life-like feel. It offers a seamless single sign-on registration that makes entry as easy as possible. Through our state-of-the-art virtual event technology, we are able to produce high-quality graphics, both environments and avatars, that simulate a real experience.
